VOLUNTEERING WITH HERBERTSVILLE

VOLUNTEERING with the Herbertsville First Aid Squad is simple and easy with many rewarding moments. 

To become a member of the squad we ask for you to: 

1st. Fill out an Application (Either stopping by one of our buildings, e-mailing the squad, leaving a message on the phone, or printing one from online).

2nd. Decide which classification of membership you would like to join as (See Below).

3rd. Obtain a minimum of CPR and Basic First Aid to ride on an Ambulance. Our squad will assist you in obtaining all training FREE of charge by one of our certified squad instructors. If you wish to further your training and obtain your Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification the squad will send you to an approved class FREE of charge, once you have been accepted by the squad. 

4th. Drop the application off to one of our buildings, or mail it to us at 375 Herbertsville Rd. Brick, NJ 08724. Please send an email or leave a message at (732) 840-9116 that the application has sent been dropped off.. 

5th. Once you are accepted, have fun and enjoy making a difference in your community. 

There are several classes of membership in which an individual can join as. 

CADET MEMBER: ages 16-18- Rides no more than 12 hours a week during the school year or after 10pm on school nights. On weekends and holidays it is a the decision of there parents.
SPECIAL RIDING MEMBER: age 18-  rides 8 hours a week. Usually less then one full night beginning at 7pm and ending at 3am. 
ACTIVE RIDING MEMBER: age 18- older, rides 12hours a week (7pm till 5am or can split 6 hours between two nights) plus every 5th weekend 10 hours during the day.
DRIVER ONLY: age 18 years or older-rides 8 hours a week.

AUXILIARY MEMBERS: age 16- older helps with fund drives and fund-raiser and rides when available if carded.
